It is the policy of HS Orka to:

  • Prevent mishaps, accidents or hazards from occurring.
  • Ensure effective organisation and targeted management.
  • Work continuously on improvements in the areas of occupational health and safety.
  • Ensure that employees have been appropriately trained in occupational health and safety matters.
  • Comply in full with laws, regulations and other requirements, as well as certified procedures.

Environmental policy

It is the policy of HS Orka to:

  • Prevent hazards, mishaps or accidents to the environment from occurring.
  • Ensure effective organisation and targeted management.
  • Work continuously on improvements in the area of environmental matters.
  • Provide ongoing environmental education to all employees, contractors and visitors.
  • Reduce Company waste, reuse raw materials and sort waste for recycling as much as possible.
  • Use materials that can be recycled and reused, which are wear-resistant and durable and choose environmentally certified products and services as much as possible.
  • Reduce the use of toxic and hazardous substances and ensure that there is no risk caused by the use of such substances.
  • Operate in harmony with ecosystems and nature as much as possible, keep environmental disturbance to a minimum and work towards reclamation of vegetation in areas that have inevitably been disrupted during operations.
  • Minimise the release of greenhouse gases.
  • Reduce the use of fossil fuels.
  • Reduce the internal consumption of power plants.
  • Become a carbon-free company.
  • Utilise all the resource flows flowing in and out of HS Orka and the companies that make the most and most responsible use of the resource flows.
  • Comply in full with laws, regulations and other requirements, as well as certified procedures.

Health policy

It is the policy of HS Orka to:

  • Encourage employees to engage in a variety of physical exercise and provide financial support to facilitate practice.
  • Managers and employees are jointly responsible for ensuring that work facilities and staff facilities are in working order.
  • Offer employees an annual health check.
  • Provide nutritious food in the staff cafeteria.
  • Comply in full with laws, regulations and other requirements, as well as certified procedures.
